University of Nevada, Reno: Onward & Upward

This month, CREW welcomes the University of Nevada, Reno's Troy Miller to the podium to offer an exciting update about the University's expansion upward to Lake Tahoe as well as exciting developments in and around the campus. 

Troy-Miller

Troy serves as the Director of Real Estate for the University of Nevada, Reno and has since 2007. He and his team facilitate the management of approximately 20,000 acres of land and improvements throughout the State of Nevada as well as serve on various public planning committee’s throughout the community.  The University of Nevada, Reno’s campus is currently approximately 330+acres . Troy feels fortunate to assist in shaping the future of his alma mater continually working on the creation and implementation of the current University’s Master Plan through acquisition, planning and entitlement, and WOW has it grown.

As a partial list, Troy also serves in the following capacities currently:

  • Board Member:  Downtown Reno Partnership Business Improvement District
  • Vice President and President Elect of the Association of University Real Estate Officials (AUREO) and will host the National Conference in Reno this September
  • Board member of the National Council of Workforce Housing (CAWH) and will be a presenter at the Annual conference in Santa Barbara in May of 2022

Before joining the team at the University, Troy spent 13 years in commercial real estate development/brokerage and has been a licensed Broker/Salesman in Nevada since 1995.

Troy and his wife Christine are both born and raised in Northern Nevada and Troy’s sons (Zach 25 & Peyton 15) are 4th generation Nevadan’s.  In Troy’s family spare time, they enjoy travel, outdoors and athletic activities, both as participants and/or fans.  Go Pack!
